Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 28, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Bulk Barcode Generator (bulkbarcodegenerator.pro) collects, what it does not collect, and how any collected information is used. The policy applies to every page on the domain, including the barcode generator itself, format-specific landing pages, blog posts, and this Privacy Policy page.

The short version. Your barcode values, uploaded CSV or Excel files, generated images, and downloaded PDFs never leave your browser. All barcode rendering happens locally on your device. We do not host, store, transmit, or log any of the actual data you enter into the generator. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic patterns, and that is the only analytics tool on the site.

1. What we do not collect

Bulk Barcode Generator is a pure client-side web application. The tool that runs when you visit the site is JavaScript that executes inside your browser. Because there is no server-side barcode generation, the following information is never sent to us, stored on our servers, or shared with any third party:

  • Barcode values you type or paste into the input field
  • Contents of CSV, Excel, or any other files you upload for batch generation
  • SKU lists, UPC codes, EAN codes, QR code payloads, URLs, or any other input data
  • Generated PNG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL output files
  • Column mappings, label templates, or other in-app configuration choices

You can verify this by opening your browser's developer tools, switching to the Network tab, and generating a batch of barcodes. You will see that no request carrying your input data is sent to bulkbarcodegenerator.pro or any other server. This is a fundamental design choice of the product, not a policy we could later change without rewriting the tool.

2. What we do collect

2.1 Aggregate usage analytics via Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4, property ID G-ZX25XQN7YC) to understand traffic patterns across the site. GA4 collects the following categories of information automatically when you visit any page:

  • Anonymized IP address (IP anonymization is enabled by default in GA4)
  • Approximate geographic location derived from the IP address (typically at country or region level)
  • Referring website (the site you came from, if any)
  • Pages viewed on our site and time spent on each
  • Browser type, operating system, device category (desktop, mobile, tablet), and screen resolution
  • A pseudonymous client ID stored in a first-party cookie so returning visits can be recognized as the same session
  • Custom events we have configured, such as "generated a barcode", "downloaded a PDF", or "changed symbology type" — these events record only that the action occurred, never the barcode value or file contents involved

Google Analytics data is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics on any site, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block third-party analytics scripts with a browser extension such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger. The generator will continue to function normally with these blockers active.

2.2 Server access logs

Our web hosting provider retains standard server access logs for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs typically include the requesting IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status code, referrer, and user agent string. Logs are retained for a short period (typically 14 to 30 days) and are only reviewed if there is evidence of abuse or a security incident.

3. Cookies and local storage

The site uses cookies and browser local storage for two purposes:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<property_id>) — first-party cookies set by the GA4 script to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. Typical lifespan: two years, but they are refreshed on each visit.
  • Local application state — the generator may store your last-used barcode format, label size, and other UI preferences in localStorage so those choices persist between visits. This data stays inside your browser and is never transmitted anywhere.

You can clear both cookies and local storage at any time through your browser's privacy settings. Doing so will reset your UI preferences but will not affect the tool's ability to generate barcodes.

4. Third-party services

The site loads assets from the following third-party origins. Loading an asset from a third party allows that third party to see your IP address and the referring URL (the page on our site that requested the asset), but does not give them access to your barcode data:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — serves the IBM Plex Sans typeface used across the site.
  • Google Analytics (googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com) — see section 2.1.
  • SheetJS CDN (cdn.sheetjs.com) — serves the Excel-parsing library used when you upload an .xlsx file. Only the library code is loaded; the contents of your uploaded file are parsed locally inside your browser and never sent back to the CDN.
  • Google AdSense (pagead2.googlesyndication.com) — when we display advertisements, the AdSense script is loaded from Google. AdSense may set advertising cookies and use them to personalize ads shown to you. You can review and control ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. See section 5 for more detail.

5. Advertising

We may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense to help offset the cost of running the site. When AdSense is active on a page:

  • Google or its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites on the web.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Advertising does not change how the barcode generator works. Your input data continues to be processed entirely inside your browser and is never available to any advertising network.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights regarding personal information about you that we hold. Because we do not collect, store, or share personally identifying information (we hold only aggregate analytics data that cannot be traced back to an individual visitor), most access, correction, and deletion requests are not applicable. That said, if you have any concern or request related to your data, contact us at carlxue985211@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

To fully delete the pseudonymous Google Analytics record associated with your device, clear the _ga and _ga_* cookies for bulkbarcodegenerator.pro in your browser settings.

7. Children

Bulk Barcode Generator is a productivity tool intended for use by adults in a business or professional context. The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us through the site, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site, changes to third-party services we rely on, or changes in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Significant changes will also be summarized in a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days after taking effect.
